Biography | |
From a love of travel, an interest in geography, and an appreciation of beauty in nature, Robert Lent uses his camera to capture scenes that evoke one's emotions - a memory of a past trip, an urge to travel, or simply a time to reflect.
In the studio, Robert renders these scenes onto canvas, producing a subtly soft, painting-like, work of art that is faithful to the mood of the original scene.
Robert Lent is a self-taught artist who began shooting professionally after a 25 year career in software development. He has published work from the Grand Canyon and the San Francisco area, among others.
Born in Pennsylvania, Robert began traveling at the age of three, living with his parents, both avid amateur photographers and hikers, in Rome, Naples, Istanbul, Beirut and Frankfurt. This exposure gave him his "travel bug" and a desire to explore the next city, mountain, and river.
