Biography
In my work, I often create an abstraction of organic subjects such as the human figure and other systems of nature. Using bold colors such as gold and silver mixed with rustic orange and the occasional vivid blue or purple, I create a world of complex modern expressionism. I also strive to cover new ground every time I take my paintbrush in hand, pushing my work in different directions. With an open mind, I use my intuitive responses to the visual world to derive hidden and unique color combinations... perhaps my interpretation of the auras of my subjects. In the end, each piece is its own element of compositional and physical surface surprise.
