Biography | |
It's all about seeing. If I can't explain what I see with either canvas or oils, crayons or pen, then I will create it as word-paintings, or with food in ships galleys and cruise ship cuisines, or with building restaurants, or brewing beer, or making jam, or churning butter and baking bread. It's all art. But it took the event of my daughter going to The Art Institute of Chicago, for me to take an embracing approach to my own art. To my own surprise the new expression came through abstract photography. My canvasses were now ships hulls full of exciting possibilities. Soon after, I found my teachers and my mentors, and museums and galleries, and collectors and fans. Or perhaps they found me. Who knows. |
