Carmela Marchitto has over twenty years experience as an artist in watercolor and oil.  While living in Connecticut, she was inspired to paint the beautiful gardens and landscapes that surrounded her.  Influenced by both of her parents who were oil painters, she spent her summers in Long Beach Island, painting her favorite subjects:  colorful seascapes and sunsets.   She enjoys painting scenery from her travels around the world.

The recipient of numerous awards, Carmela has been featured in several private collections throughout the United States, Canada, Domincan Republic and Peru, as well as national corporations and dignitaries.

After attending Berkeley College, She continued at the school of Visual Arts in New York City, Visual Arts in Summit, NJ, Armory Art School and Lighthouse Art School in FL . 

Carmela has been a charitable supporter and contributor for the Emmanuel Cancer Foundation of Wyckoff, NJ, Salvation Army of Palm Beach, FL, American Red Cross of Montclair, NJ, Little Sisters of the Poor in Paterson, NJ and Play for Pink in NJ and FL.  Some of the Art Associations she belongs to include:  Skylands Manor Art Association, Ringwood Art Association, Ridgewood Barn Art Institute, Community Art Association, and Salute to Women in the Arts.  She participated in a group show fundraiser with Salute in 2002 for the victims of the WTC.  She was also featured in a group show in 2003 at the Ward-Nasse Gallery in NYC and was featured in the Art Gallery Guide of NYC, October 2003.
