Biography | |
Anatoliy Aksenov was born on 23 May 1947 in the Dzerjinsky region of Moscow. At the age of 7 he began visiting art-school which was in the former Moscow "House of Cinema". In our days this "House of Cinema" exist as well but it moved to other place. Aksenov recalls his first teacher - Dulenkov. He was a very well-known person in "Mosfilm". In the former Soviet Union "Mosfilm" was a kind of American Holywood where films were made. Dulenkov was the art-director of many famous russian films: "Silent Don", "Seventeen moments of Spring".
After school Aksenov started Technical University and worked as a technologist for some years. Then he graduated from Moscow State Teachers' training Institute as a professional artist. Starting from 1982 he was the headmaster of one of the Youth Educational Organization widly spread in the former USSr. The purpose of such organization was to find the young talents and to give them a chance. This post gave Aksenov an opportunity to travel a lot. He visited half of the russian cities and towns. He painted all this time. Travelling was the best inspiration for him.
After having made 3 personal exibitions in Moscow Aksenov became a member of The Russian Painter's Union in 1998.
Today Aksenov works in one of the art-schools in Strogino which is the northern district of Moscow. From time to time he gives the master-classes in the Diplomatic School for Foreign Children in Mpscow.
